Foster The Future Campaign
In support of national foster care Month
At Project Lemonade we are keenly aware that COVID-19 will create evolving conditions for Oregon's foster youth community including:
✔️ More children entering the foster care system due to increased risk factors to child safety.
✔️ Employment loss for existing foster families putting deeper pressure on an already stretched income.
✔️ Increased mental health needs for foster youth trying to cope with school, life, and thinking about their future.
We are planning for the future and we need your help.
In the coming months, as the state navigates COVID-19, Project Lemonade's mission will be more important than ever. Help us meet increased need and fundraise for the future by donating to our Foster the Future Fundraiser.
This virtual fundraiser will run through the month of May, highlighting Foster Care Awareness Month.
Foster youth are at the heart at all we do at Project Lemonade.
Our organization has impacted over 14,000 youth since our founding in 2012. We serve over 2,000 foster youth annually with new clothes at our store, paid internships for work-ready foster teens and WISH funding for youth to achieve their dreams and find their gifts. We are supported by an incredible network of financial donors, Foundation, in-kind partners and over 750 volunteers per year. We thank you for enabling us to fulfill our mission!
During this uncertain time, Project Lemonade is preparing for increased need in the foster youth community, while navigating a new fundraising landscape.
🍋 We are safely operating our store by shifting to a delivery system.
🍋 We are granting WISHes that enable distance learning and educational support.
🍋 We are providing emotional support and basic needs to our 40 past interns.
🍋 We are partnering with over 40 nonprofits to meet needs through Every Child’s My NeighbOR.
