About My Internship: Written by Lead Intern, Dylan

In 2019 I started at Project Lemonade, at the time I was still very much new to Portland and even newer to the idea of a stable job. Project Lemonade not only showed me what a normal job could be but what I could be. To this day, I have not had a job that has given me as much general job experience or as much fun as Project Lemonade has. 

When I found out I could intern again as a Lead Intern this last fall I was ecstatic. My last job ended on a sour note, but that didn’t matter, Project Lemonade just wanted to support me. They helped to create a flexible schedule that would work with my school schedule. Project Lemonade is a job that gives you the freedom to become what you want and I think that's beautiful.

Not to mention the fact that the work itself is joyful. At Project Lemonade it is always fun to be surrounded by customers and because of that it's always fun to be at work; I can't explain how great it feels to help a little girl find a lion stuffed animal or a college student some drip (that means cool clothes :). At Project Lemonade I never felt overwhelmed or unwelcome and I am truly thankful for that. THANK YOU PROJECT LEMONADE!
